There is something romantic about the simple, flowing lines of this design. It hints at Arts and Crafts Movement and Prairie School styles mixed with, dare I say, a touch of Lothlórien. Because the cable motifs at each end are joined by a length of pattern ribbing, the scarf can be knit to almost any length. If you’re comfortable with 1x1 cables and knitting/purling through the back loop, it’s time to cast on!

Gauge: 5 stitches = 1 inch in stockinette

Techniques: 1x1 cables, knit and purl through the back loop (k1tbl, p1tbl), knit two stitches together (k2tog), k2tog through the back loops (k2togtbl), in one stitch, knit front and back of loop (kfb)
